Diacerein + Glucosamine Sulphate
Diacerein + Glucosamine Sulphate is a combination drug that belongs to the class of chondroprotective agents. Diacerein inhibits the interleukin-1 beta (IL-1β) cytokine and thereby reduces inflammation, while Glucosamine Sulphate stimulates the synthesis of proteoglycans and glycosaminoglycans, thereby improving the joint structure and function.
Diacerein + Glucosamine Sulphate is used to treat the symptoms of osteoarthritis & rheumatoid arthritis, such as pain and reduced mobility. The drug is used for patients who have not responded adequately to non-pharmacologic treatments and simple analgesics.
The recommended dose for adults is one capsule/ tablet twice daily, preferably during or after a meal.
