Hydrocortisone + Miconazole Nitrate
Hydrocortisone + Miconazole Nitrate is a combination medication used topically. Miconazole belongs to a class of antifungal medications called imidazoles. It works by stopping the growth of fungi that cause infection. Hydrocortisone is a corticosteroid which reduces inflammation.
Hydrocortisone + Miconazole is indicated for the following conditions-
- Dermatosis
- Eczema
- Intertriginous eczema
- Topical infections caused by candida, yeast and strains of staphylococcus or streptococcus
Topical administration: Apply the cream to the affected region two or three times a day, massaging it in gently until it is absorbed by the skin. Treatment should be continued for up to 4-5 weeks.
- For external use only.
- Treatment should be stopped if irritation or sensitivity arises.
- In some cases, corticosteroids applied to large sections of the skin can be absorbed in adequate amounts to cause systemic effects such as adrenal suppression, Cushing's Syndrome manifestations, hyperglycemia, and glycosuria.

It is contraindicated in individuals who are hypersensitive to it or similar drugs-
