Menthol + Methyl Salicylate
Menthol+ methyl salicylate is a combination medication. Menthol and methyl salicylate function by cooling and then warming the skin.
Menthol+ methyl salicylate is available as transdermal patch. Use1 patch at time and do not use more than 2 patches in a 24-hour period.
Menthol+ methyl salicylate has very few side effects. In some cases, the following side effects may show up-
- Redness
- Itching
- Skin irritation
- If you are sensitive to menthol or methyl salicylate, aspirin, or other salicylates, or if you have any other allergies, notify your doctor or pharmacist before taking this medication. Inactive chemicals may be included in this product, causing allergic reactions or other issues. For further information, speak with your pharmacist.
- Tell your doctor or pharmacist about any medical conditions you have, especially if you have asthma or nasal growths (nasal polyps).
- Menthol+ methyl salicylate is not recommended for use in pregnancy from 20 weeks until delivery.
Contraindication
Contraindicated in patients hypersensitive to any component of the medication.
There's no known contraindications in terms of food and drinks.
Contraindicated in pregnancy after 20 weeks.
