Econazole Nitrate
Econazole is an imidazole antifungal agent that kills fungi by inhibiting fungal cell wall synthesis.

- Econazole is available as vaginal tablets and topical ointment.
- For three nights in a row, one tablet should be put deeply into the vaginal canal. Even if menstruation occurs, treatment should be continued. Although a three-night course of treatment is frequently sufficient, for women who have recurring vaginal infections, lengthier courses are recommended.
- The provided applicator should be filled with econazole cream and placed deep into the vagina once or twice daily at bedtime
How to apply vaginal tablet:
Commonly associated side effects of econazole nitrate are-
- burning
- itching
- stinging
- erythema
- Econazole nitrate is not intended for use in the eyes.
- If a reaction that suggests sensitivity or chemical irritation occurs, the medicine should be stopped immediately.
- Only for external use.
Contraindication
