Tadalafil is indicated for the treatment of erectile dysfunction (ED) and the signs and symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). 

Erectile Dysfunction

Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH)

• Erectile Dysfunction: The recommended starting dose of tadalafil is 10 mg taken orally before sexual activity. The maximum recommended dose is 20 mg once daily. The dose may be adjusted based on individual efficacy and tolerability.
• Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia: The recommended dose of tadalafil is 5 mg taken once daily at approximately the same time each day. The dose may be adjusted based on individual efficacy and tolerability.

Most common adverse reactions include:

• headache
• flushing
• dyspepsia
• abnormal vision
• nasal congestion
• back pain
• myalgia
• nausea
• dizziness
• rash

• Tadalafil should not be taken with nitrates or nitric oxide donors due to the potential for life-threatening hypotension.
• Patients with a history of priapism should use tadalafil with caution.
• Tadalafil should be used with caution in patients with severe hepatic or renal impairment.
• The use of tadalafil is not recommended in patients with hereditary degenerative retinal disorders.
• Tadalafil should be used with caution in patients with a history of cardiovascular disease, including myocardial infarction, stroke, or life-threatening arrhythmia.
• Tadalafil may cause sudden hearing loss, which can be accompanied by dizziness and tinnitus.
