White Soft Paraffin

White Soft Paraffin is an emollient and a barrier cream. It is a type of moisturizer that is used to soothe and protect the skin. It is composed of a mixture of liquid and solid hydrocarbons, and it works by forming a protective barrier on the skin, preventing moisture loss and maintaining hydration. It is not absorbed into the skin, and its mechanism of action is purely physical.

White Soft Paraffin is used for the treatment of dry, itchy, or scaly skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis, and ichthyosis. It can also be used as a barrier cream to protect the skin from irritants and to prevent moisture loss.

White Soft Paraffin is applied topically to the affected areas of the skin as needed. It should be spread thinly and evenly over the skin, and can be reapplied as often as needed. It is not intended for use on open wounds or infected areas of the skin.

White Soft Paraffin is generally well tolerated, but some people may experience skin irritation or allergic reactions such as itching, redness, or rash. If any of these side effects occur, the use of White Soft Paraffin should be discontinued.

  • White Soft Paraffin is for external use only and should not be ingested.
  • It should not be used on open wounds or infected areas of the skin.
  • It is important to avoid contact with the eyes, and to rinse thoroughly with water if contact does occur.
  • Patients with a known hypersensitivity to White Soft Paraffin or any of its components should not use this medication.
  • White Soft Paraffin may interact with other topical medications, and patients should consult their healthcare provider before using it in conjunction with other topical treatments.
  • It is important to consult a healthcare provider before using White Soft Paraffin on children or infants.
