Betamethasone + Clotrimazole + Gentamicin

Betamethasone+ Clotrimazole+ Gentamicin is a dermatological medication primarily used to treat various fungal and bacterial skin infections. Betamethasone is a glucocorticoid that reduces inflammation. Clotrimazole and gentamicin is an antifungal and antibacterial respectively.

Betamethasone+ Clotrimazole+ Gentamicin cream is used to treat a variety of skin conditions, such as-

  • Skin infection (bacterial + Fingal)
  • Psoriasis
  • Eczema
  • Tinea corporis
  • Tinea pedis

 

Apply thin film to the affected area 2-3 times daily.

Betamethasone+ Clotrimazole+ Gentamicin can cause the following side effects-

  • Burning 
  • Irritation 
  • Itching 
  • Redness / erythema
  • Do not apply on wounds.
  • If hypersensitivity reactions (itching, flare, vesicle, urticaria) occur, stop using it.
  • It's possible that systemic steroid medication in big doses or long-term occlusive dressing technique (ODT) therapy will cause weakening of the immune system.
  • Skin shrinkage and face erythema are examples of local side effects.
  • Not recommended for long-term treatment.
  • If the patient has symptoms such as blurred vision or other visual problems, consider referring them to an ophthalmologist to rule out the possibility of central serous chorioretinopathy.
  • Avoid getting it in your eyes.
  • The presence of propylene glycol may trigger an allergic response.
  • If no improvement or worsening occur, discontinue use and restart as soon as feasible.

Contraindication

Contraindicated in patients hypersensitive to any component of the medication.

There is no known contraindications of the medication in terms of food and drinks.
