Bromhexine + Erythromycin + Neomycin + Sulfadimidine + Trimethoprim

Bromhexine + Erythromycin + Neomycin + Sulfadimidine + Trimethoprim is a combination of veterinary drugs that belong to different classes. Bromhexine is an expectorant that helps in the removal of mucus and phlegm from the respiratory tract. Erythromycin and Neomycin are antibiotics that inhibit the growth and spread of bacteria. Sulfadimidine and Trimethoprim are antibacterial agents that work together to target and inhibit the growth of bacteria.

 

Bromhexine + Erythromycin + Neomycin + Sulfadimidine + Trimethoprim is indicated for the prevention & treatment of CRD, CCRD, Bronchopneumonia, Infectious coryza, Colibacillosis, Fowl cholera, Salmonellosis, Diarrhea, Enteritis, Staphylococcal infections etc. in poultry.  

 

  • For oral administration only.  
  • Poultry: For prevention- 1 g/Liter drinking water for 4-6 days.  
  • For treatment- 2 g/Liter drinking water for 4-6 days.    
  • Or as directed by the registered Veterinary physician.  

 

Adverse reactions may vary depending on the individual animal and its sensitivity to the drugs. Common adverse reactions associated with the use of Bromhexine + Erythromycin + Neomycin + Sulfadimidine + Trimethoprim may include:

  • Gastrointestinal disturbances (such as diarrhea, vomiting, or loss of appetite)
  • Allergic reactions (such as rash, itching, or swelling)
  • Changes in behavior or activity level

 

  • Use in accordance with veterinary guidance: Bromhexine + Erythromycin + Neomycin + Sulfadimidine + Trimethoprim should be used only as directed by a veterinarian.
  • Sensitivity and resistance: Some animals may be sensitive or resistant to the drugs in the combination. If sensitivity or lack of response occurs, discontinue use and consult a veterinarian.
  • Use in pregnancy and lactation: The safety of this combination during pregnancy or lactation has not been established. Use with caution and consult a veterinarian before administering to pregnant or lactating animals.
  • Use in young animals: Extra caution should be taken when using this combination in young animals, as they may be more susceptible to adverse reactions.
  • Use carefully in poultry with impaired liver and kidney functions.
  • Do not use in rabbits, guinea pigs & hamsters.
  • Chronic use of oral aminoglycosides may result in bacterial or fungal superinfections.   

 

Contraindication

Contraindicated in poultry hypersensitive to Erythromycin, Neomycin, Sulphadimidine, Trimethoprim & Bromhexine.
