Colistin Sulphate + Doxycycline
Colistin Sulphate + Doxycycline is a combination of two antibiotics used in veterinary medicine. Colistin Sulphate belongs to the polymyxin group of antibiotics and acts by binding to the cell membrane of Gram-negative bacteria, causing cell lysis and death. Doxycycline belongs to the tetracycline group of antibiotics and works by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis.
Gastrointestinal and respiratory infections caused by micro-organisms sensitive to doxycycline and/or colistin like Bordetella, Campylobacter, Chlamydia, E. coli, Klebsiella, Haemophilus, Mycoplasma, Pasteurella, Rickettsia, Salmonella, Staphylococcus and Streptococcus spp. in Calves, Goats, Poultry, Sheep and Swine.

- Swine: 1 kg/1000 litres of drinking water for 4-5 days.
Discoloration of teeth in young animals or hypersensitivity reactions may occur. Digestive alterations may appear, such as intestinal dysbiosis, accumulation of gases or mild diarrhoea.
- Use of this drug may lead to the development of antibiotic resistance in bacteria, which can be a significant concern for public health.
- Animals with a known hypersensitivity to any of the components of Colistin Sulphate + Doxycycline should not receive this drug.
- Use of this drug in pregnant or nursing animals should be carefully evaluated by the veterinarian.
