Folic Acid + Zinc is a combinational nutritional preparation. Folic acid is necessary for the biosynthesis of DNA, RNA & proteins. Zinc is an essential mineral for the immune system and other biochemical pathways.
Folic Acid + Zinc is indicated for the following conditions-
- Folic acid deficiency
- Zinc deficiency
One tablet daily with or without food or as prescribed by a licensed healthcare provider with prescribing authority.
Folic Acid + Zinc may cause the following side effects-
- Nausea
- Anorexia
- Abdominal pain
- Diarrhea
- Dark stool
Precaution should be exercised in patients with renal impairment as zinc build up may occur in these patients.
Contraindication
Contraindicated in patients hypersensitive to any component of the medication.
