Pyrimethamine + Sulfaquinoxaline Sodium

Pyrimethamine + Sulfaquinoxaline Sodium is a combination of two antiparasitic drugs that work by different mechanisms of action. Pyrimethamine inhibits the enzyme dihydrofolate reductase, which is involved in the synthesis of DNA and RNA in parasites, thereby preventing their growth and reproduction. Sulfaquinoxaline Sodium works by inhibiting the production of folic acid in parasites, which is also essential for their growth and reproduction.

Pyrimethamine + Sulfaquinoxaline Sodium is indicated for the treatment and prevention of coccidiosis in chickens, turkeys, and rabbits caused by Eimeria species.

The recommended dose of Pyrimethamine + Sulfaquinoxaline Sodium for chickens and turkeys is 30 mg/kg of body weight for 5-7 days, whereas for rabbits, it is 50-60 mg/kg of body weight for 3-5 days. The drug should be administered orally in drinking water, and the concentration should be adjusted based on the animal's water intake.
