Alverine Citrate is indicated for the relief of smooth muscle spasms, in conditions such as irritable bowel syndrome, painful diverticular disease of the colon and primary dysmenorrhoea.

• Pregnancy and Lactation: Use during pregnancy and lactation only if the potential benefit justifies the potential risk. Limited data are available on the safety of Alverine Citrate in pregnant and lactating women.
• Elderly Population: Caution is advised in the elderly, and lower doses may be appropriate due to potential age-related decreases in hepatic and renal function.
• Discontinuation of Treatment: Abrupt discontinuation of treatment is generally not recommended. Tapering the dosage may be considered, especially in patients on prolonged therapy.
