Amlodipine

Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker (CCB). It is used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) and angina, which is a form of chest discomfort. It can be used alone or in combination with other medications to treat these issues.

Common side effects of amlodipine are-

  • edema
  • dizziness
  • flushing
  • palpitation

  • nausea
  • abdominal pain

  • After initiating or increasing the dose of Amlodipine, patients with severe obstructive coronary artery disease may experience worsening angina and sudden myocardial infarction.
