Propylene Glycol
Propylene glycol is a water-absorbing synthetic liquid. It is a viscous, colorless liquid with a faintly sweet taste despite being nearly odorless. Propylene glycol is used in different pharmaceuticals like emollients and moisturizers. It is also used as an irrigant.
Propylene glycol is indicated for irrigation in constipated individuals.
